Two suggestions for groups!

So I've been running a group for a while and, while the groups system is great and gives me a lot of options, there are a couple of things I'd really like to see!

1. Let us re-categorize submissions from the message center before accepting them. For a small group like mine it doesn't make much difference; I can just accept a misplaced deviation and then immediately go move it into the right folder. But for larger groups that have multiple admins handling hundreds of deviations a day, this could help streamline things a lot. In the submission messages, where it says "Submitted to [Folder Name]," instead of plain text, how about a drop-down menu so you can change the folder?

2. Let us search within groups. We can already search within users' galleries; why not in group galleries? :la: (This would be a handy admin tool for when you're trying to find something that needs to be removed from the gallery, rather than just blindly flipping pages until you find it.)

What do you think, forum? Any more ideas? =P

While a good idea, it'd just mean that members would have an excuse not to read the rules

It's not like a group admin couldn't still remind them. Also in a few of the other responses to this thread we've mentioned maybe adding something to the correspondence message that tells the person that their art was moved to a different folder. :D

That's not a bad idea. It'd actually save us a lot of work as admins ^^;

Could be done, but agree with =Parabuteo78's point on members will just have a easy way not to learn rules to begin with. I have seen those who do a repeat rinse to an extent get it right. And for a large group, that's a considerable amount. But sure, it would be fine to have it and write a message.

Group search is a common suggestion and staff are aware of it. :)

(I also suppose anyone that didn't want to let their members be lazy could just reject miscats anyway :giggle:)

Sometimes if I feel sorry, I bypass it and submit it myself for them. :lol:

Yeah, if this were to happen there should be some form of notification in the Correspondence message that your stuff got moved to a different folder. I think that would ultimately be the biggest time-saver, because when I reject stuff for being miscategorized, I have to write a message asking them to submit to the right folder anyway. =P

Hope group search gets implemented soon then! :la:

I am used to writing a message notification for mis-categorizations. I have been doing it..what..for 2 years I think... And they do get submitted to the correct folders later on.
