I feel the same way about journals from groups. Why they are classed as "Journal > Personal" is a tad odd, primarily because they just get lumped in with everyone else's journals.
I have two possible solutions for this: you can either do one, the other, or both, because they'll both do something:
Option 1. Provide a sub-category on the Messages sidebar for journals just from Groups. Simplest solution, would let us see our group news in one place.
Option 2. Personally, this is the better option: re-classify all group journals as being "News" journals, so that they show up under the News heading instead of with everyone else's journals.
