I created the Review Project at :devLitLoveCommunity: to encourage people to write reviews of other writers or their body of work, or their books etc, but I think this could be a site wide feature useful for all artists. It encourages more interaction, like critique did, it can have premium content options (such as point rewards if the artist being reviewed says the review is fair if the artist opts into that to encourage people to review them more) and therefore profitable for the site.
I understand this wouldn't be an overnight thing as the critique system which I've modelled my suggestion on is complex, but I think it could be something that benefits all deviants in the future, after all it is an art community :]
I included it being able to be used for services or products to tie in with commissions and deviants like the fashion models, photographers etc, but it could be used much more generally.
Analogy: Instead of writing about Pulp Fiction, if you wrote about the things that make all of Tarantino's works uniquely his, thats the kind of thing I'm thinking about. The reviews of the artist and their *body* of work, or their actual services as an artist (like when youve worked with a photographer, or an illustrator).
Yes, it would be useful in those instances as well. As a way to give reviews of particular 'collaborations' so to speak. Kind of like a recommendation or review of the person's body of work or certain skills in LinkedIn.
