We need options in our profile that allow us to block art by tags. Here's roughly how they would work:
When browsing, you'd see "no entry" images like when there's mature stuff, but it would also name the tag that it's being blocked by (so you know why it's blocked).
You can choose to preview it by hovering the mouse over it to see a thumgnail(so if the title seems like something that's good or possibly miscategoried, you can look at a small version of the image to verify without seeing the whole thing)
Alternatively, a second option per added tag would allow you to choose to just block that tag completely, no previews at all, just GONE.
Today I was thinking of this when I saw some "fat" fanart. To each their own; seriously, enjoy that if you want to, but I hate it. I don't want to see it. Ever.
I know there are other people who feel this way about sonic, ponies, gore, whatever so it would make them happy too.
There's already a "mature" filter, but that doesn't help if we don't want to see certain other types of art. There are just some keywords I think everyone can agree we don't want to see (though each person's preference is different).
I just made a forum topic on this subject and now I feel dumb for not looking at others' posts to avoid making a recurring suggestion, but this has my full support.
Maybe they need to have a "top suggestions" area with the ability to vote on them. I doubt people would submit them so often if they knew it had already been done.
I think they need a list of common suggestions so I wouldn't see nothing but "I want to block out [blah] art form" or "I dislike [blah] fandom" when I come here
If it's that common of a suggestion, I'd much rather see them implement a solution. Then we'd have better control over what we see in our results and you wouldn't have to see the constant suggestions if that's the case
I wonder how we can get the attention of DA to actually do something about it.
They won't implement anything like this, period. The best solution would be for people to start using the "Search" function to cut out what they don't want to see
