i tried to make the title as descriptive as possible.
i submit to several groups, and i can never remember what deviation i've submitted to what group. obviously if my deviation has been accepted then it's no problem. but if it gets denied, and four months later i'm going through my gallery and submitting things to my groups (i don't always submit every time my deviation limit is up, in fact there are large time gaps between submissions), i can't remember whether i've submitted a particular deviation and been denied, or haven't because i had hit my limit, and i don't want to be annoying by constantly resubmitting the same pieces. it's rude and irritating to the moderators.
so i suggest either not being able to submit them to a group once they've been declined, or to have some sort of list or notice that says where i've attempted to submit. the first suggestion creates issues in the case of submitting to the wrong folder.
i'm not sure how the second suggestion would be enacted, but i can't be the only one to have this issue.
I'd rather prefer a notification balloon for the group admins.
Every time they decline a deviation, there should be a "don't forget to write a reason"-like notification so that we don't forget, because most of the time they're so many that i daze out and forget to write the reason even though i did want to.
it could be a problem if say you tried to submit one to a group and it get's declined for something like accident or quality control. If you revised it and tried again it wouldn't be able to work anymore.
this would be nice. The first suggestion could work if moderators also had a way to correct what folder a deviation is being sent to during the submission process, rather than declining it. The second could be a simple message that pops up for the user when you try to submit saying "This submission was previously submitted and declined, are you sure you want to submit it again?" or a banner on the submission for the group mods that says "This was submitted before and declined."
I don't think it would be to difficult, given that we already have similar stuff in place. For example, go to a group and try and submit something that has already been submitted and you'll see a red box appear on top of the deviation saying you've already submitted it. This would be pretty much the same, just a different message. It would also have to recognize that the deviation had been declined before though, but I'm not a programmer so I don't know how easy or hard that may be!
