Put a "DA is for your own art only" prominent statement when new deviants join.

Title says all.
Put in a line or two that states deviantart is for uploading YOUR OWN ART. Not other's. Because deviantart isnt photobucket.
S
ome members genuinely do not know that. A simple statement or two when they sign up, educating them before they become uncaring new art member thieves can really help with this one small gesture c:

Less art gets stolen, we as the artists feel safer and happier c:

I don't think it'll make much of a difference. They didn't read the ToS. Most of them don't listen when other users tell them, politely or otherwise, to cut their shit out.

Hmm... true D':
But a warning sign note thing would leave them excuse-less and more easily bannable?

When I joined dA it kinda just say "UPLOAD ART HERE AND SHAARE" so for a while I thought it was just a place to upload random pictures. So yeah, A BIGGER SIGN OF "ONLY YOUR OWN ART THX" would indeed be nice.

Or maybe have a "fun" interactive tutorial about how dA works and how to use it. I think this would help greatly for those "innocent" people who are new to dA. It might also make dA a little more interesting. And maybe it would be best if an interactive tutorial was made every time a new "major" feature is implemented. Thus cutting out the ridiculously long journals by staff members that are often less informative than the rumor about them. I don't know how many staff journals I've read that have been so long and by the time I finished reading them I hadn't learned anything that I didn't know before hand. Not to mention, in order to keep you entertained long enough to finish reading it they toss a "funny" little picture in the sometimes relates to the post.

I'm in no way saying staff members should stop making these posts. But it would be more helpful if there was some kind of interactive tutorial. Some things are easier to understand if you see it in action. Why else would there be countless tutorials with pictures or screen caps for people to follow along.

Except, DA isn't for "Your art only." If you have permission from someone else, you CAN upload their work.
