Over the past few months, DA has been testing a new submit page. this move has gotten a wave of negative comments. excluding those from admins, in the first ten pages of the feedback page for the change, I have found less than 100 comments fully supporting the change, and yet DA Admin only seem to be concerned with bugs. that's not right
I'm setting up this thread to hopefully open up a line of communication here. I feel admin needs to address more than just bugs and glitches, we need to address THE PAGE ITSELF and try and see why people hate it so much. We need to get some true, honest answers here. so if an admin sees this and can get some of the people involved in the new submit page project to maybe get on this thread and help
I honestly don't get the point of getting all riled over the new submit page. The only thing I want changed is the folder selection section, it's a horrible disorganized mess. The rest is spot-on.
Okay here's the helpful suggestions that've been gathered so far from this thread and a few one's I've seen on the submit page article (the list may grow as time goes on). these mostly revolve around the test, not the page itself.
-deviants should be at least notified or given a chance to say yay or nay in the future on participation in major tests.
-it should be made very clear which browsers DA does and does not support and which work best.
-it would be nice if the admins would be a bit more open with us.
-maybe get another admin or two involved on monitoring the feedback page. Hal seems to be taking a lot of work for the number of comments about issues that have come in.
