Information for the 'submit art' section

Lately I'm horribly bothered by art thieves, tracers and people who post a lot of unnecesary things, like memes.
It mostly happens among newer members, who don't really know a lot about rules and such. So, just a small idea there.
If it was possible to add information on 'submit art section' and place it right above first box (which is 'deviation title)' so it can be as visible as possible, maybe background box in different colour too.
If it comes to information itself, just a simple message, something like 'please remember to upload only work you created/have permission to post. Do not upload art that belong to others nor art that is copyrighted' maybe add something sassier like 'we also want to point out that deviantart.com is not a storage for pictures found online that you found amusing'.
That's it. My point it, some profiles look like they are photobucket and dA isn't about that. Message hainging around while you want to add new picture may actually make someone think if it should be submitted.
Sorry for any possible mistakes, english isn't my first language.

Quick question how explicitly will you know if you submitting something already done...which would look like it is stolen?

well if person upload something they know if the drawning is theirs,
even if it looks similar to something else, without proof no one will know if it's stolen. sometimes it's obvious, sometimes not.
people just need to realize how bad uploading other's work is

I like the approach of giving credit where credit is due (support the forum idea) but to use the concept of the art to form something out of oneself not to use the very art itself directly and manipulated it unless artists freely allow so but one can criticize that if some big boom in art happens that duplicates are likely to be found. The major issue if from DA to other sites that the boundaries of control are limited (once again support the forum). Nice commentating on these topics. Took 10 years + to bring a suggestion forum or due I have the date wrong.

I love that idea of a little message for newer members but older art thieves probably don't give a crap :XD:

Old thieves are different problem, for them we'd need good anti-thieft policy and dA staff resolving reported problems faster but oh well, i don't think they'll work on that anytime soon.

If only they did, DA would be nicer :(

I like the original idea a little reminder of the copyrights and whatnot, but I don't think we need anything "sassier". If they're not violating copyrights and such I don't care what they upload, even if it's useless crap.

I mentioned something 'sassier', because I have that feeling a lot of people would ignore the message if they saw it's written in serious manner. It seems that too formal messages are just, well, ignoed...

I like the idea. Maybe it could be more detailed for new members and deviants who had to delete art flagged for that reason and a short reminder for everybody.

Thanks. Well, that message can be worded in a lot of ways and a lot of stuff can be added.
