as a young artist I am finding it difficult to get noticed as a lot of the stuff that get people noticed requires premium membership or an attached credit card, so my suggestion is to add a young art category with it own CV but I guess there's always the fear it will get clogged with fan art. so alternatively could dA do more in general to support.

free premium member for under 20's
cheaper points
youth exclusive contest
CV's that specialise in youth art
young deviousness award

You'll only get what you give and you haven't given anything. Regardless of age, you need to interact with people to get noticed.

Having a premium doesn't make it easier to get noticed. It provides a few cosmetics perks at best. Networking is how you get noticed, not being handed free stuff. They could be given the world, but it won't matter if they do nothing.

Why should anyone be rewarded for finding the site younger or older? It'd be just as valid to say all the moms, or the struggling college kids, or the <any group here> should have an extra.

As far as CV goes, there's a legal agreement you have to sign, and you do have to be able to look at mature content. So under 18 isn't an option.

Frankly age has no limit on idiocy, but I think making it an issue at all just creates bigger problems.
