Improve "JOB OFFERS" topic SYSTEM

I have a simple complain about it. And it's VERY SIMPLE to solve. Create a system that tells WHEN A JOB OFFER IS FILLED OR ENDED. I just had it with wasting my time on job offers that end up into nothing because they were closed or filled in the beginning. i don't care if the 15 year old kid that's cheaper than me or that just because draws manga-anime style won over me. I just want to know if the thing is up or not. And WHEN DOE IT END.
it's very simple to see. you just go to Freelancer.com or any other job webpage and you'll realize what i'm saying.

AND!!! you might even create a special part of dev art that consist in job offers. you know what. Get this thing out of the FORUM and put it elsewhere. create something new. I think it will make dev Art better. MUCH better.

It would be really amazing to see an updated, more feature-filled, Job Offers section on dA :)

Yeah, it really isn't a system like that, exactly as *Aapis explains. And quite frankly, the only people I would trust enough to work for in those forums are the type of people who do get their thread locked or at the very least write in the thread itself when the job is filled. The ones who never reply or so much as appear online since the day of posting are always very sketchy new users usually asking ridiculously low pay for excessive work. I prefer an active member for work here, and get freelance work from more reputable places elsewhere with less selectivity.

They're currently developing a commission system. You can see a demo of it on +spyed's user page, he is selling "questions" in place of what will one day be artistic services. While it won't fix this particular issue, it will hopefully lead way to better communication for buyers and sellers.

some thread starters so write in the thread when the job is filled, but others don't notice o__o for example, this thread... [link] and this thread... [link]

people keep posting their prices even after the thread starter posts that it's closed. that pushes the thread starter's comment down, so fewer people see it. so more and more people keep replying and they don't realize that it's pointless because the person has found someone! >__<

It's just another forum, not a whole dedicated system like that hilariously bad freelancer.com site. It doesn't deserve any extra special treatment.

yeah i have suggested before that people who start threads should be able to edit their first post or even better, that and the thread title. but at least, the post.

then thread-starters could easily edit to say that their job is filled.

I agree with this. As far as the OP locking the thread - it doesn't happen often because it's hard/a lot of effort to track down a mod that will lock it for you, and people often don't even care to put in that effort. Though I do think that if there was a check box type thing for the OP in their inbox that allowed them to quickly mark a job as filled it would help people out a lot.

yeah...i don't really think about a huge system. Just that when you enter the job "forum" list. it's specified when is it gonna end, if it's filled or free, etc, etc. they is done i don't know exactly i'm no coder. but i think that would prevent a lot of problems.
