TOO MANY FAVES..ONLY

I've noticed there are getting to be WAY TOO many people who come on here and just FAVE! They are not artist of any type and their galleries are zero and yet, their fave folder has numerous pages of faves. With all the art theft that has been going on, I know I for one, don't feel comfortable when my entire gallery is faved or all sets of a model shoot that I post is completely faved.This is/was suppose to be a place for artist to gather and share work or help be inspired to help improve or get ideas for their own work. NOT just fave for the sake of ONLY faving everything under the sun. I've seen one page where this person has NO artwork but has hundreds of pages of saves/faves in male nudes or different media types.
What's wrong with this picture? This is cause for alarm and raises a red flag of suspicion! This is how artwork is ending up on sites like Ebay and being sold and NOT.. from the original artist or photographer! In other words, art theft. Yes, I've had a couple friends on here have there work stolen. Something needs to be done about this. Stricter regulations that members must show some sign of posted artwork in THEIR galleries and something of substance maybe ???

Hey, if someone doesn't draw but faves my art, that just spreads it further around the site for talent scouts to find me, I'm okay with that.

Thought I'd take a look at the info for DA and why established. I found this on their About Us section.

"As a community destination, deviantART is a platform that to exhibit, promote, and share their works within a peer community dedicated to the arts."

Hmmm.."allows emerging and established artists"...." peer community"! Main word being ARTISTS! Not trolls, creepers, haters, and those who like to be condescending as some of these comments have been. I didn't post here, at the suggestion of:

A peer community = whoever is a member of dA. An appreciator of art is still part of the community that is dedicated to the arts.

While *prosaix is wrong about this being a place for trolls or haters (she just likes to mess with people), everyone in this topic you call "the EXACT types" of people you're referring to are not. They are all artists themselves and believe that this site is not JUST for artists. Don't try to take the description of dA too literally.

WHATEVER! I read what I read and take it that IS what DA means until told otherwise by an ADMIN! There you go again...using the term "everyone"!

Go to dA's welcome introduction page and look at the big bold headline. It says, "What is deviantART? The world's largest community of artists and art-lovers!"

You don't need an admin to tell you what dA already clearly states to every visitor. It is not a site only for artists and nobody else. You can look at some of the other tabs too and they also reference "art-lovers" and people looking for "inspiration" as well.

You'll just have to learn to accept it, because staff aren't going to tell you that dA doesn't accept art appreciators along with artists.

Your just being argumentative and damning my suggestion. You're no better than anyone else. No body is over or beyond anyone else. You're no more special than anyone else and you think you have holy right to judge.
I have news for you!. YOU DON'T have the final say in any case what DA does or does not! Not sorry to burst your little bubble. You didn't like my suggestion, fine. Your entitled, like everyone else to your opinion. A close friend once told me that opinions are like assholes. They usually stink!

By furthering and directing your comments at me, apparently you have nothing better to do than to judge others. Your condemnation of my suggestion, what..does it boost your little ego. Blow your head up? Raise you on a higher pillar? Make brownie points with others on here or think your kissing Admin ass? have news for you, NOT happening. Your sole purpose and intent is confrontation. Apparently get your rocks off by doing so. You're enjoying this and getting your jollies from it.
YOU ARE NOT THE SPEAKER FOR ALL! YES, I certainly can tell that YOU, personally, ARE the type person I would, in heartbeat, completely block from comments and all. You're too antagonistic, pompous and arrogant and looking for battle. That is what you're doing right now.
I suggest highly, you go to bed, get some sleep and MAYBE, Santa will come tonight (since it's the 24th now) even though you've been a naughty person and looking to pick fights.
