Some forum suggestions

Okay, these are probably things you've heard before...

One, could you put in a search for JUST forums?

Maybe you could make a section for just roleplay?

Would it be possible to add a Widget that has forums/chats you've been to or made?

Could you make it possible to submit file extensions .fli, .gih, and some others?

People, let me clarify some stuff. Honestly, I am still figuring out a lot of stuff on the site, and these ideas were partly from a friend who came over, and I agreed they were good til I went back and read over them.

1. YES, I KNOW. There is a search box. But that is for the whole site. She was wondering if there was a search for just the forums. I hadn't found one, so I assumed no.

2. There are chats for that, but they tend to get, well, cranky on some computers. Still, seeing how many trolls are out there, RP probably should be kept out of the open forums.

3. Never mind, someone helped me find the history thing on my page.

Jaccording to Google:

- .fli is for Autodesk Animator, which looks like a shoddy animation program used in the 80's
- .gih is for GIMP, specifically used for animated brushes

Anyways, doubt that you're gonna see this, but you can always .zip it up.

1: It's right up there on the right hand side of your screen. Says 'search'.

2: We used to have all sorts of other sections they got rid of. And I'm not sure a roleplay forum here would be a good idea. That really belongs in chat.

3: Probably possible, but it would be a premium feature.

4: You do that with a thumb code or link.

Yes, but that searches everything on DA, not just the forums.

Hmm, darn. I guess that's true enough.

It'd still be awesome.

I've tried, still doesn't comply :/ It seems most sites don't like ANY of those.

The site doesn't like the link or thumb code? They work on this site. If they aren't working for you, then you're probably missing something. Make sure you copy the address/code all the way.

Thumbs only work here on dA. And may only work in certain forums for free members.

Links, you just copy the url and stick it in there. Or you can do html links if you want.

No, the one at the top left searches the site, the white one with the green Search button is only shown on forum pages and only searches forum topics.
