Pink Shots

I'm a deviant for 7 years now and browse through thousands of deviations daily. At the moment I am living in a double room for a semester abroad. And I am sure, my roommate thinks, that I am addicted to porn. Everytime that I browse through random stuff, I get at least hundreds of vaginas and penises. I do not have a problem with this kind of art. But I hate it, that I cannot blend them out when not being alone at our room - especially because there is no possibility to adjust the working place into another direction. I know, there is a mature content filter. But I think there is a clear difference between mature and pink shots. I really like mature content, but I don't want to see naked genitals in macroshots all the time...

I want to suggest that - especially when browsing through random stuff - vaginas and penises as objects are only shown, if explicit searched for.

I swear, everyone talks about how many crotch shots are on DA, and I find diddly shit of them. Unless you're searching something that would cue them up, I don't know how else they would be showing up on your screen.

Looking straight in the artistic nude gallery though. I'm saying, when I log on, front page set to Newest, just looking at what people are putting up, I don't find any of these. Of course if you look in artistic nude you're going to find shots of people's crotches because hey, it's artistic nude. That's my point - unless someone is doing something to seek it out, I don't see why anyone would have their front page flooded with these images.

Your friends are prudes.

And there are not that many nude shots compared to fan arts and horrible drawings. Stop searching for "naked" or "nude" and that'll probably give you more of the other things in this site.

Maybe a system similar to the one on Stumbleupon would work? In that case you'd be able to go to a page in the settings and choose the cathegories of deviations that you are alright with seeing, or perhaps more efficiently the ones you don't, and the browsing system would completely exclude the ones you don't want to see.

Although, maybe deviantART would have to add 'vaginas and penises' as a whole new genre of artistical nudity in order for that to work.

I know how you feel, but the only thing you can do so far is to type -penis -vagina -genitals etc. into the search bar.

That's why I was suggesting to create another solution. But as long as there is no solution for this, I need to do as you say.
