Submitting Literature

In the past I have had trouble submitting any kind of text due to it not being the right type of file or I needed a seperate preview image. My questions are what is a seperate preview image and why do you need it? Also, why can't you just upload a word file, say from Microsoft word starter 2010 or something like that?
Anyone help or have the same problem? Thank you

You can also use sta.sh writer where you can copy paste the writings as they appear in your word file (most of them will show) and upload that way.

FAQ #39: I just tried to submit a file to X Category, but it told me the filetype I am trying to upload is not allowed. What can I do? Here, have a badly named FAQ.
