Concerning Certain Photos

Why is it that every time I log in here I see a photo of someone's penis or vagina? If we aren't allowed to draw it then it shouldn't be photographed >:(

1. Wrong start page? Because I hardly see genitals on mine...?
2. Mature content filter?

Disable mature content or get over it.

Pictures of genitals aren't against the TOS by default.

And this really should have been posted in complaints.

Oh dear you seem to have made a mess of things here Peanut XD may I suggest to lock this or delete this post (I don't know if you have the power to do that or not). I apologize for my sister's actions, I'll try my best to keep her from exploding all over you again lol Again I'm sorry!

What I was getting at and suggesting is for the stuff to look before deleting :S my friend had an artwork (with a strict warning on it for nudity) just like the befove and it got reported and deleted while the photograph ones never do :(

So please stuff of DA look before deleting artwork that are exactly like the photos you let submitted here >_>

It's "staff", not "stuff".

They very much do look. It's silly of you to accuse them of not looking just because one thing got deleted and not another. Their job isn't really to go hunting down anything else in a person's gallery after one or two things get reported. If your friend has a photo just like a drawing that is against the rules, you should be reporting them yourself.

If they don't get reported, then that's a failure of the other members out there not reporting, OR it's simply because the photos your friend uploads are different than the drawings enough to not warrant removal. Maybe your friend's drawings were of underage characters, but the photos are of adults. I don't know, because we haven't seen anything you're talking about.
You also have to remember that each of those deviations will be seen by completely different audiences in different categories, so some people may be more adamant about "cleaning out" drawings than photos, but rest assured, the rules apply the same to both of those things.

FAQ #302: How does the staff decide to take action? Why does it seem inconsistent?
FAQ #23: What are deviantART's policies on nudity?
FAQ #565: You prohibit the submission of 'pornographic imagery'; what do you consider this to be?

Turn on the mature filter if you can't handle them. And dA does allow drawings, just not explicit things, like sex or masturbation. Read the FAQs.

Photos and drawings of those are allowed as long as they meet certain specifications. Just turn on your mature filter if you don't like it.
