I've just opened a group that needs a place where members can exchange ideas... Forgive me if its a "too clueless" of a question, I'm new at this... so....... any ideas?
i agree. i don't see why a group can't have a forum for all its members. admins have a forum, the rest of the group should have one too. admins need a forum to discuss certain topics that are for admins only, but the rest of the group should have a place to discuss general things about the group. that would be great!! (it can be for members only, non members can just comment on the profile page)
also, in the group forums, admins should have some kind of title next to their name, something that clearly says their position in the group. on other forums on other sites, admins have some kind of special label to differentiate them.
I have long championed for this and it needs to be done and has needed to be done since day 1/ It wouldn't require much of anything at all as personal pages already have a forum. Why DA still does not have this in groups is simply beyond me
Although you can already do that with the group blog, I don't see why we can't have a group forum that all members of the group can access and start their own threads. A lot of groups don't allow regular members to write in the group journal so I think this would be a nice addition.
