There's this site that I go on, GaiaOnline, which has recently gotten a feature that validates your IP, so someone with a different IP cannot log onto your account even if they do have your password.
I figured, with the hacker scare, this would be pretty useful.
How it would work:
1) Someone, somehow, gets your password and tries to log in 2)An email is sent to you asking if you want to verify the IP address, to which you can click yes or no 3) If yes, the IP is verfied, and that person can go on, if not, the IP isn't
Considering I've logged into dA from home, college, coffeeshops around the Sacramento area, on my commute, and from any unsecured wireless signal I can leech off of, this feature sounds like too much of a pain in the ass to justify implementing it.
I answered this in the earlier comment, when you log in at a different IP, an email is sent to your email, then you click verify the IP or not. It should tell you your IP in the email, I don't know how Gaia does that, but eh.
This is completely optional, by the way. Hope I answered your question.
