It would be great if there was a button you could clip that shows every single reply (even the ones you already replied to) Cause sometimes I reply to someone, and they never reply back -- but I forget what their username is X-X And just really for viewing and archiving purposes. I'd expect that when I get away from the "inbox" and click on "replies" for example, there should be a button somewhere that shows read messages or something

as it sounds like you've found what you need. Also, you can prevent messages from disappearing in your inbox by unchecking the 'Remove this message...' box.
