It'll be great if I don't have to manage many online stores out there just because I can't sell t-shirts, pillows, key chains, etc at my DA store. Doesn't DA want more profit shared from this business? I bet they'll get more extra billions $ in a year if they let artists sell more stuffs via your stores?

Hmm...question: wouldn't dA just become another 'etsy' or 'ebay' then? It's not something too nice considering they are making a brand out of themselves. Unless they want to be another one of etsy/ebay/walmart (see the other suggestion)/facebook/tumblr/myspace ?

I was talking something more like zazzle than ebay actually. >.<

Same thing. They could do some, but doing all out would be dissolving their brand. No one wouldn't be interested in dA's own brand of products. It's like if McDonalds tried selling uhhhh..KFC or Popeyes or some other 'brands' of some 'customers' home made goods rather than theirs. They could still make money and have their brand the other way, it's not like they are dying (considering it's 12 years and they are in awesome trend still). Question is how much of users' works and suggestions would they take in because "they'll get more extra billions $ in a year" and killing the golden duck they were trying to raise.

I don't think they'll kill any ducks they have. They will still have the markets for their own branded stuffs, you know the fanatics, while getting 50%! profits from products with our arts. It's a win-win story. They can't, after all, force people to buy their t-shirts if people dislike the designs, right? But by having other t-shirts sold with artists' arts, DA will have more chance to get the $$ out from these people's pockets. DA has its own unique establish style for its design, so it'll be a love or hate when people see their products. So, yeah, a more variety of designs provided by us will flow more $ to DA bank, I believe. ^^

Ah right, fanatics. Forgot that part. That's a good point. :giggle: Though I doubt those will be enough to afloat the brand. But I see no reason not to test it out  If it works, by all means good for all of us actually.

Yeah, if some people are willing to buy thousands of points so that they can show off their golden llama badge, I think they will still buy other DA branded merchandises, especially anything with cute fella on it! Fella = DA!

But... yeah, I don't know why I'm always pessimistic with everything I suggest here. -__-

Pessimism helps counter the overly optimistic or idealistic people. A balance is nice between all.

But if the golden duck killing was their main idea for Thanksgiving, sure. It's their site.
