DeviantArt Watermarks

now before anyone screams at me to "Go make my own!" I do, but alot of people with great art don't! like photography, generally Photos have the subject in the middle of the image and where does DA's watermark go? right in the middle of the image..its distracting and ugly..

so why not revamp it? OR give members an option of where the watermark should be? (top left, bottom right.. ect)

Really, it honestly isn't that hard to make a second layer if you've got the right program.

I think you could just make your watermark with Muro, this is definitely not needed because there are many options already available to make it on your own.

If their art is so great then they should be smart enough to watermark their stuff. If not, then they should learn. It's an important thing for a serious artist to know how to do.

I have to ask, why would you want DA's watermark on YOUR image in the first place? Why can't they let us upload our own .png image to overlay over our artwork for personalized watermarks?

THey don't do it because they don't want to, that won't change... yes, go make your own.

Would love to be able to move and rescale the default deviantART watermark - much easier to apply to images and doesn't spoil them for viewers in the process

But they aren't doing it because they don't want to? How do you know that is the reason? And watermarks don't have to be so large like dA's. It can be small. Or place a signature like some do. That counts as a watermark.

If they don't want to make and watermark their image, though, that's their business.
