Multiple Galleries...

I know it sounds weird. But I've been on DeviantArt for many years now and my style have changed a lot. Even throught I still like my old stuff, I'm not sure if it still reprensents my actual style. Also, because I'm studying in the art domain, I don't whant to show my whole gallery as a portfolio. It would be interesting to have many gallery display. For example, actually, some people already have their "stock account", their "pro account", their "student account, etc.". It would be great to be able to work on all those gallery at once.

I know that we have a portfolio option, but with the portfolio, someone can go to my main gallery and see all my old stuff wich is not alway as good as it is now. Also, if someone had a DailyDeviation on one work it won't be say if he take it offline to put it in his "pro account". This is the main reason why I only have one account actually. I can't keep my comments and faves on my work if I create a new account...

Am I clear enought? English isn't my first language, so if I'm not clear, just tell me! ;-)

By the way, I think I know the answer, but I just whant to be sure... For now, is there a rule, on DA, that says dhat we shouldn't have multipple galleries? I just whant to be sure because, a while ago, I was on another website (I don't remember wich one it was and I think it is closed now) and, I've got my two accounts closed because I had multipple accounts. Before I do a Pro account, I would like to be shure! Lol!

Also, if it is impossible to include the multipple galleries feathur as I suggested, I've got an Idea that would work too : allow sharing a deviation between accounts. A little bit like groups are doing, but with person and having but showing the name of the actual gallery on wich it is... I don't know if I'm clear. As I said, English isn't my first language so, If I'm not clear enought, just tell me! ;-)

What about putting the works you are not that satisfied with anymore into your scraps? Or simply naming one folder in your general gallery 'Old or Outdated Works'? :)

Because when you put those works in scrap, it won't appear in the search result. Even if a work is not pro enought to be in my pro gallery, it still bring me viewers, comments and it allows me to communicatw with other deviants. By putting it in the scrap, I lose this possibility. ;-)

For the idea of a folder, the problem is that those images will appear in my brows section and can be displayed in the random deviation. When I whant to hide some work in my pro gallery, it doesn't work verry well too! ;-)

I completely see where you are coming from, and I would say that this is a brilliant idea with a few additions...

- These separate folders could have a banner or something that would allow an artist to explain what the folder is. For example a "Student Work" could explicitly not that these pieces are exercises and therefore not necessarily their best work.
- They should be able to be stored as a whole. So if you wanted to keep the art on deviantART, but store it... It could be stored all together
- I would advise that this be a premium membership perk, not a freebie one as it should be reserved for those that use deviantART as a part of their career/profession not for those using it as a hobby.

Thank you for your idea, and I hope that it is noticed!

Deleting my older work from my gallery don't allow to the ones who like it to see those works. I also loose all the comments.

For the scrap, I don't remember what it was, but I remember I had some trouble with some of the particularities of this storage... Something like it was invisible in the search engine or that kind of stuff. You see, some of my older work still bring me some viewers, but aren't good enought to let them in a pro portfolio...
