Can literature Daily Deviations find a balance between free verse and fixed form poetry?

I cannot remember the last time I saw a sonnet, a ballad, a limerick, hell even a metered poem featured as a Daily Deviation. And while I understand that Daily Deviations are chosen for the skill the artist (or writer or poet!) displays, as well as the emotional or evocative effect, humor is an emotion too. When's the last time you saw a light-hearted poem get a Daily Deviation?

I don't dispute the quality of Daily Deviations to date. Merely their diversity.

:lock: as mentioned, this suggestion should go to the lit mods. Forum posting guidelines: [link]

While you're welcome to note any of us, I know ^NicSwaner is looking for more fixed form. :)

I didn't know you can do that.

If you see something that you feel is worth being featured, you should suggest it to ^Beccalicious, ^thorns, ^NicSwaner or ^neurotype.

What =Felissaurus mentioned. However, I would rather not see something just for the sake of diversity as an excuse. If you feel something different should be featured, suggest that because for what it is rather than as an diversity excuse.

FAQ #18: Who selects Daily Deviations and how are they chosen?

Suggest more if you don't like ones being selected lately.

This forum is for suggestions, not complaining about DDs.
