Hi, dA. I've been thinking about this site lately, and I had to say, it is great. I like it and all, but some stuff just doesn't hold on for me. Some people say that there should be a 'delete-your-own-comments' feature, and stuff which I agree.
I also have ideas too, so I've made this thread to post my ideas or suggestions, whatever you'll refer it as.
Give your ideas here, and I might add them to the list too. Hopefully you'll understand and add some of these ideas, dA. Hopefully some.

Points System by RegisteredAccount
By Point System, I don't mean the Points for Premiumship or stuff like that. I mean like points that you can use to purchase widgets or things; for example, maybe posting 5 comments on a page (can be two or more different pages with a total of 5 comments) will give you one Point, and favoriting three of something gives you one point. Stuffs like that. And then, if you are going to give a badge (Llama Badge, stuff like that), which gives you three Points, you'll have to write a reason down why you are giving it to someone. It will then be send to the administrator/moderator/whatevs and they will see if it is acceptable or not. If yes, you get three points. They even get to check if what you wrote is true, too.

And if you actually read any of those posts, or the posting GUIDELINES, you'd see that it's not going to happen.

Aside from that:

So, you want dA to PAY you to interact with the community?

Forget it.

Points are real money. They can be used to buy actual physical products from the site. dA isn't going to throw money at you when they are ALREADY giving you the features of the site for free. My premium membership is helping to pay for you to use the site for free. Don't ask for more.

And having to write and explanation for giving a llama badge? And then YOU Getting paid to give it? I'm sorry, no way. They're a fun thing.

That is a horrible idea for the simple reason that ac humongous amount of people will simply start to fave- or comment spam others in order to get these "points".
Quite apart from the fact that I doubt that the already busy staff would like to check those llama badge submissions.

Great exactly what we need, a system that encourages people to fav whore and post worthless comments.
No, you mean this to moderated by "whatevs". I'm guessing you mean the Keebler elves, since they're the only ones with a large enough slave labor force to accomplish a task of that magnitude.

I'm at least glad you realized why we can't delete comments finally.

Yeah... sorry about that. I've already changed my mind about the Point System, really. But as I was going to edit, I had JUST realized that we can't edit our own comments or posts. After what? After staying here at deviantART for around 3 months, and I had JUST realized that now?
