nobody can remove their own comments

dear deviantart team,
I wan to speak about the comment's that I and everyone else lets in deviations in this site.
When I let a comment to a picture or any thing else in deviantart only the maker of the deviation can remove my comment and this iss wrong,I wanty to ask you to give to everyone the in deviantart the right to remove their own comments(serioulsy,In youtube I have this right,hy I don't have it here?).
this is a way to make this website better.

I'm on another website as well, where they allow people to edit or delete comments until someone either posts a new comment (after they do) or replies to it. That way people can't post something nasty just to get a reaction, because once someone reacts, their post is there to stay. That might be a better option...?

I can't remember if I commented here already or not.
I mean, this is a very common suggestion and after a while it's just the same shiz.

Point being that staff have never made this choice available.
Probably because people have given good enough reasons
but others just can't accept how dA staff run their own site.

I'd just learn to be appreciative with what you already have.
If dA can think of a way to improve this place, they will.

So...

Maybe suggest something more creative for them to consider.
I don't think this will actually be taken seriously since it's such a cliche thread.

A good enough reason for me would be that whatever you type, is there to stay.

And everybody has the occasional typo, I understand that. But you can post a comment below correcting yourself. Or, what has been mentioned in recent Site updates, a small window of opportunity to correct typo's would be great.

But I will always be against completely deleting comments on here.

For me, the ability to remove your own comments anywhere on this site, is unfortunately a big opportunity for some people to something nasty, stupid, racist and then, when they receive backlash for it, delete the comment or change it so everybody replying to them looks like an idiot.
And involving the helpdesk in situations like this, to bring back the original comments for example, is just adding more work to an already over-stretched staff.

Here, on dA, you can't edit or delete your comments, just like a text message on your phone or an email. So read through your post to catch typo's and use your intelligence to think before you post. That way, editing and deleting will never be necessary.
