Global pricing for prints

Give us the option to use global pricing. In other words, as it is now, if I want to put all my prints on sale for the holidays, I would have to change all the prices individually on hundreds of prints. With a global setting, I could change the global settings only and it would apply those changes to all my prints. Fine Art America has pricing set up this way. Obviously it should be an optional setting as all artists may not do pricing by the image size or they may feel some images are more valuable than others. But at this point in time, there is no easy way for a print artist to run sales or specials for the holidays. You know a big 50% off holiday sale message on a deviants page could at least give them an opportunity to generate a few sales instead of none... Also quite obviously, this would only change the artist profit, and would cost DA nothing. (other than the cost of coding it)

Agreed. Its alot of work to go through them all and would make life simpler for everyone

You just go at the bottom of each deviation manage prints, and increase the sales percentage you would like to receive and increase/decrease it as you want.

I know that. I already do that. I've done that from almost day one. But you can only do one at a time. I have some size prints marked up 50% instead of the default 20%. I have other sizes marked up 35% or 40% or 45% depending on the size and what DA charges to print them. So if I want to put my stuff on sale at say 20% off I would have to edit each field on every one of my almost 200 prints. Other sites have global settings, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. You can either set a specific price for more valuable work, or set a global price for all your work. Nothing could be simpler...

Ah. An overall settings for all the prints for deviations, not each. I suppose that would be handy for these particular promotions.

Exactly. DA can do the 50% off on printing prices (for deviants) as a sales pitch. It would be nice if we could do that for the general public to help generate some action.

Why can't you put prints on sale? I set my own price, I should be able to reduce it on sale...

Your profits may be barely anything if you leave prices at default. I don't leave mine at default settings...

Oh yes I have. Granted, I haven't sold very much here at DA. And that's my point after all. Putting things on sale helps sell things, it's a simple concept. And I have sold prints for the prices I set at shows as well. I really don't know what point you're trying to make. My suggestion was simple, allow global settings so the artists can change all their prices at the same time if they wish. It's a clunky process to go through to change the price of say each individual 12 X 18 print (or any other size) one at a time. DA could use the same exact pricing interface, and just code in another button to change ALL prices on all sizes of prints...

About a year ago I raised all my prices. I wasn't selling anything at low prices so I decided it didn't matter. After I raised prices I sold something. It took days to change all my prices. I would just like to see a better option for pricing, that's all I'm saying.
