So I just got on again and I like having the little polls at the bottom of the page. This time, it asked deviants how they find new artists they like. Right now, it says that 41% of deviants browse the front page, and, after reading the comments, there is overwhelming evidence that many deviants do this in addition to the other methods.
My problem with browsing the front page is this: it takes forever to scroll back up!
My solution: go visit Stumbleupon. Right now, in the beta, they have a feature that, when you reach a certain part of the webpage on the main tabs (when you log in), a little box in the upper right corner appears that says "Top". Clicking on this automatically returns you to the top of the webpage, no matter how far down you've scrolled.
This, I think, would be most useful when it comes to browsing the front page of dA.
*I am not telling dA to infringe on any of StumbleUpon's property, I am merely letting them know about this feature that would be also useful here.
Besides what =Katara-Alchemist said, you can also turn off the endless scroll and go back to using pages instead. Click on the gear icon at the bottom right, just above the footer to change your setting.
sorry for coming off as advertising for them, but I was just thinking of this. I don't spend too much time on dA anymore, but thank you for letting me know. I'll try to keep my eyes out for the feature next time I'm browsing the front page
