Stop the ability to submit the same deviation to a group over and over

It can be very difficult to know which deviations we have submitted to which groups without a lot of checking up.
Ideally I would prefer it if -
1. Deviant art prevents the ability to over submit the same deviation to a group whilst that particular deviation is still being approved.
2. Deviant art prevents the ability to resubmit a deviation to a group that has previously declined that deviation.

It can be very frustrating for the group staff as well as the artist to discover the same deviation is being submitted for approval over and over.

Thank you for reading!

damn, yes. i hate this. there is a sort of prevention method but it`s buggy and doesn`t work properly. sometimes things get submitted like 3 times over a week and i forget if i already accepted/declined it before ; n; idk

Saving up correspondence messages while they are still in the process of being accepted or denied would help in the user end. Or a way to retrieve old correspondence messages and sort them group wise or deviation wise perhaps.

Several use it as a way to refer to the member to submit again to the correct folder or for some other reason, so I wouldn't say strict prohibition. Also some can submit it if they have further improved on the work by editing the deviation and an additional block tool (which, in several occasions would be helpful to simply block a work) could be of disadvantage if a particular mod or some else feels they would like to block after every declines. So doing something related to the first one would help.

I've sort of remember that you get an error message if you try to do that, something along the line with 'this work has already been...' Because I keep track on what I submit to where in an excel sheet, but sometimes I do miss to put the X in the box

1 - how about a way to access correspondence messages you've cleared from your inbox? Make it a folder like Notes.
2 - things do get accidentally declined sometimes, but it'd be nice if the group admins had the option to say 'block this piece'.

1. Good suggestion.
2. I agree, though I am an artist (not a group admin) I still don't want to waste time resubmitting or getting told off by an angry admin.

I actually was thinking about this not too long ago as well. I submitted a work to a group recently but then I realized that I might have submitted that one previous. it's been awhile so I can't remember. It would be nice to have a notification pop up saying 'hey, you have already submitted this or put in a request to submit this. Are you sure you want to try again and bring that wrath of a dA group upon your head?' then I would say 'oh, I guess I already did submit this' That of course would be for the blind people that can't see the group stamps on the side of the page,... *crawls under rock and hopes that no one reads this post*

You have it nailed I think.
Would blind people be uploading images anyway I wonder?

lol, I was referring to myself cause the next thing I was going to say was they should put group stamps on the side of each deviation so people would know if it's in a group or not
