Don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty picky about what I want to see when I look up certain things in the search bar. I know I'll probably get shit for this, because "IF U DON'T LIKE, DON'T LOOK/DON'T COMMENT", but..... really, we can all see how well that motto works out on this site. I can't help but feel like, if there was an option to block certain tags/keywords in the results, there'd be a little less drama about who comments on what...and less worrying about having to reach for the brain bleach when you come across something that you would rather not see. Because I for one would really rather not have to wade through pages and pages of fetish and slash art just to find fanart of cartoon characters.
I know there's the option to block mature results.... but then I'd rather not have to wade to pages of the mature content icon. Plus not all the more mature content is properly marked as mature.
I dunno. Just might make searching a little more convenient, especially seeing how the search engine already has that ridiculous 1000-deviation limit in play.
I understand that something like this would lessen the views on some peoples' work, but hey; getting less views would be better than getting a fuckton of negative comments.
If there's something else I'm missing that may make a blacklist an unacceptable or more troublesome feature to have, feel free to inform me.
Oh yeah, that's why it should be an option for individual users. Like, they can go to 'settings' and make their own list. Sorry, should have made that clear
I am in full support of this, I am tired of seeing certain things keep showing up in my search results. Honestly don't look/ don't comment doesn't really work because the thumbnail is RIGHT THERE and it is hard to ignore.
Actually I also would like to add the blacklisting the tag to work on not just search results but in group submissions and pretty much everywhere you see art on the site.
