Project system - for collective work progression and multiple shots

Sometimes instead of posting finished pieces, a lot of people will post up a WIP - some of those WIPs are very enticing to look at! It would be cool if the artist could upload progressing WIP of that same piece in a manner where there would be a system that could connect those WIP submissions together (as well as the finalized piece) - like setting up a project system that would be setup on DA galleries, and then updating it up until the last piece. In turn, it would be cool too if users could subscribe to projects they're interested in watching.

As a growing artist, I loooove to see how other artists go about their pieces, and how they get to their final piece.
I end up just scrapping my WIPs when I'm done with a project, which is too bad. I personally like showing off progression, but I don't like cluttering up my gallery with a bunch of WIPs. It'd be cool if I could just have the whole project available on one post - Visually, I could imagine having the WIP's on a scrolling side bar, while the main final piece, or latest piece will remain normally on the page as any other submission is currently posted. It would also be a better alternative to posting links in the description box when you want to link up WIPs yourself. It would also be beneficial for photographic sequences of something - be it a costume you're showing off, or when different angles or a sculpture or 3D model. I know we have galleries, but items posted within those are still managed as their own unique pieces. Project submissions would still be objects that could be categorized within the main gallery.

Hope that makes sense! It would be a lot of work I imagine, and I don't expect it would necessarily be considered, but I wanted to throw this idea out there!

I really don't think WIPs need more than being thumbed in the latest/final description. They don't need to clutter your gallery even, you can add a special folder just for all of them or put them in scraps.

I think a comic strip would be a better showcase of what your proposal would benefit. To really be useful though, I think it would have to be more or different than what can be achieved with what we already got.

The setup would be more to my preference I suppose. Perhaps it's more of a fancy aesthetic thing, but I like the idea of having WIPs and final tied together in a system for the sake of ease and the idea of being able to watching a specific project.

Well I definitely would prefer to be able to, say, watch an artist by gallery folder or general category rather than all their work.

That would be really cool! Has that been suggested? You should suggest that!

You can upload them to your scraps... and edit it or reupload something where it's two pictures, one next to the other. And d the same thing for three, four or more.

A good alternative, which I've used too, but I still feel a more elaborate system would be beneficial. Some submissions are better off whole instead of stacked in one image.
