the mature content bar should have links of the rules of what cant be posted on deviant art so when people like me post pictures there are links to the rules about the specific mature content that cant be posted on deviant art. that way people like me will see the links and remember the rules and not post pictures that will get them in trouble
Putting it as a faq link during submission would be helpful for those who don't know. Lazy or not, then that wouldn't be a excuse then. They could do similar things for prints submission as well
I've had a chat with the OP about this suggestion and what he's getting at is that there could be a link in the submission process, near the Mature Content tagging area on the submission page, to the FAQs which relate to prohibited content. This would just serve as a simple resource for people who haven't memorised the details of exactly what is and isn't allowed on the site (it's quite in-depth stuff), especially useful for newer members who may have read the ToS but who would benefit from the ability to quickly check the details before they submit something which they worry could potentially going to be against the rules. It could help cut down on inappropriate submissions and also create a visible reminder of the site's restrictions to help people avoid accidentally violating them.
The way I see it, it wouldn't be an excuse for people not to read or familiarise themselves with the terms of service or an alternative to using the Help menu to find information in the FAQs. It would just be an additional (and small!) piece of information to help people during the submission process. I don't believe that everyone who submits inappropriate content does so knowingly - often it's a genuine mistake when people believe that their submission is covered as long as it has a Mature Content tag, especially if they aren't experienced dA users.
Surely having the relevant information in an obvious place would be beneficial in helping to reduce the amount of policy violations and help people to gain a broader understanding of the workings of dA
