A feature to remove deactivated accounts from our watchers list.

Hello,

I had an idea for a site feature that I would love to someday see. As you are aware there are several deviants that deactivate their accounts daily. That being said those of us who were watched by the deactivated deviants now have them stuck in our watchers list and are unable to remove them. I believe that creating a feature that would allow the user to remove deactivated accounts would be very useful.
Furthermore, it might also be useful to allow this feature to remove moved and inactive deviants (12 months+) as well. I have over 200 watchers and maybe 50-60 of them are active. Personally, I'd rather have 50 active watchers than 150 inactive. Since its nearly impossible to ask deviants to unwatch who they are watching before they deactivate having a feature like this would bring some peace in a heap of chaos.
Therefore, the construction of this feature should be simple but like with any idea there comes unexpected road bumps and a lot of back tracking. The way I see it is the dead accounts could be sorted into a group on the users account via "Friends List". Then the user can select and remove the dead accounts they no longer want on their watchers list (much like removing an active user). I understand that in "Friends list" the dead accounts already appear with a "!" next to the user name. If you are like me and are watching over 1000+ users finding all of these dead accounts can be a hassle. This idea sounds like an "Easier said than done" kind of idea but I'm sure the great minds at the dA HQ can come up with a solution.

This helped me alot. I made a little script that give all the deactivated/banned accounts on a list so I easily can ban them. Just put your username in the end of this link and it will find all watchers with ! status

Thats really cool and it is helpful but I was thinking along the lines of having something similar and a "delete" button. So you wouldnt have to go through the trouble of blocking them you can just delete them on the spot.

I know. But I can't make something like that without access to DA's source codes.

Inactive accounts shouldn't be affected, because they sometimes come back.
However, a feature to purge banned and deactivated accounts from the list would be great.

That is true and i'm glad you think so. Although the banned accounts might be iffy because you can always ban appeal. Maybe they should be ban specific like for the never ever allowed back accounts.
