Sometimes I've seen software distributed through DA. Unfortunately, this site only offers Creative Commons licenses as an option. The metadata classes used for CC licenses now have added support for GNU licenses, the most widely used licenses for software and sometimes its documentation.
What we need would include: GNU General Public License version 2 (or any later version) GNU General Public License version 3 (or any later version) GNU Lesser General Public License version 2 (or any later version) GNU General Public License version 3 (or any later version) GNU Free Documentation License version 1.3 (or any later version)
All would be represented in an off-color versions of the GNU gnu [link] and the standard boilerplates as dictated in the license (i.e. " This work is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or any later version. This work is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See version 2 and version 3 of the GNU General Public License for more details.") with a link to the relevant texts.
Also, the public domain should also be an option too, for those interested in it, or for stock people, a link to their usage policies (which would say like "See this deviant's (link)usage policy(/link) for terms on using this image(/link)
