If deviations can be labeled with a slight or strict warning about nudity, sexual themes, violence/gore, strong language or ideologically sensitive material then I think it makes sense to be able to CHOOSE the kind of mature filter.

Right now the mature filter blocks everything across the board. And while I don't mind a little blood or swearing, I'm getting really tired of the graphic vagina shots, but there is no way to distinguish.

Having the same checkable boxes as the ones present for uploading a deviation available in the account settings menu would be really helpful.

I agree. The definition of "mature content" is pretty vast at the moment, and like you said, some people might enjoy some of the content that is labeled mature but not care for all of it.

I hate having the filter on because I miss out on really nice deviations, so I just have to put up with all the horrible and tasteless nudes so I can see the rest of the nice deviations.

And people all have different ideas about what is or isn't mature content. This is the easiest way to customize the browsing experience, I think.
