Why not? I mean... Personally am not designing any application skin, but am a heavy OS customization addict, and this two programs are of my favorite, specially Aimp2... both have factory-enabled customization, but skins for this two seem to only appear at respective official websites. And they seem to have not many skins available though... Maybe if this skin categories are open in dA artist and designers would improve this situation of lacking many good skins for these two applications, that deserve it, I think...

ClotosetZ - I set the last letter, the final word.
I've got a new AIMP2 skin just about ready(just some polishing left). I found AIMP2 a few weeks ago, and think it's what Winamp started out to be. A GREAT little program. After ten years with Winamp, I converted to AIMP2.
I'd LOVE a place to go to where folks talk about skinning AIMP2 in English. It's home forums are mainly in Russian, with just a few English forums, and feel like I'm not getting the info I would if I spoke Russian, or they spoke English. A new place to gather and share AIMP2 info would be cool.
At last somebody replied! Thank you for your support!
Yes I was Winamp fan too. but AIMP2 is way much better.
The point of this thread was about some missing Deviation Categories... so people would come and post their custom-made skins there. But yes, a forum section here on dA to talk about AIMP2 would be great also!

Whatever folks want to add regarding AIMP2, I'm for it. Forums, a Deviation Category, what have you. I'm very much the new guy around here myself, and I'm not quite sure how ANYTHING is organized around these parts. I'm still learning my way around. It's not quite as bad as navigating the Russian AIMP2 forums, though.
If AIMP2 forums are set up, I'll hang out there. If a category for uploading skins is added, mine will be ready to UL in a few days. It's probably ready now, but I know that once I release it into the wild, if I find something I'd like to fix, that first, unfixed version will always be floating around out there. Better to delay a week or so and make sure.
I'd like to see AIMP2 get a little more recognition in the English-speaking world. I'm really impressed with it. It's a full-featured player, while still being fairly intuitive and easy-to-use. You don't drown in a sea of things you don't need, while still having most everything you'd ever want from an audio player.
Also, between AIMP2 and the WYSIWYG skin editor, there's a lot of solid programming. I pounded the heck out of both of them in the course of making my skin these past weeks, and both behaved VERY well. No errors from the player at all. I got a couple errors out of the editor, but it recovered gracefully on those couple occasions, and I was able to continue with no loss of work, and without having to quit or restart the editor. I use both with confidence, and appreciate the polish and thoughtful features. Every time I think I'd like to do anything in either, it seems like the programmer was there first, I can do it, and it's done pretty much how I think it would be done. That's just plain cool.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
