I had a weird thought today, I was on my Youtube account and I get messages for comments waiting for approval or not and I can choose wheather or not that that comment can be posted on my Youtube Account and I thought to myself, "So much 'drama' can be avoided if we had that here at DA" I know of fellow DA members that are greatly respected that get harassed by other people and where conflicts could possibly avoided.
I would like to suggest a Comment Approval or Disproval instead of anyone just commenting anything that they want to cause people can say things that can really hurt and we can hide them all we want but that doesn't get rid of them.
I hope that all of you will seriously think about this. Thanks.

That would only lead to more drama when n00bs start blocking all comments that disagree with them, prompting several people to make Journals calling them out on their n00bery. It's bad enough with n00bs hiding comments, but being able to block them entirely?
You have a point but there are some people who go on DA just to attack people and I have references from other people who have gone through shit... and why would someone go to someone's page they don't like (by this point they would after a bad comment) just to stalk them and read their Journal?

I like the idea, cause people still get curious and wonder what it said if you're using the "Hide Comment" function. And this would make it a great deal easier for someone like me, who has watchers that will jump on anyone who attacks me. There are those out there who only have an account so they can just go out and leave nasty comments to the people they don't like. If they post that comment for the world to see, the attacker may get the satisfaction of having gotten under that deviant's skin. I don't like it when people put comments and start wars on my page, I've had that issue before and I think that if we, the users, had the option of deciding what comments are we want to be displayed, a lot of drama could be avoidded.

Who's Your Danna?!
Sorry Cloud: tall, dark, and handsome beats short, blonde, and emo. Every time.
It seems like a good idea, but I think it has more downs than ups. For one, tracers/art thieves would be able to block any comments and seem innocent to outsiders.

Knowing one or two words of Japanese doesn't mean you can speak Japanese or that you are a Japanese.
Then report them and block them. But it would be too easy for n00bs to abuse this. I know of two in particular who'd have a field day with such a feature...
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
