How does this sound? I have had a few occassions where I have seen a deviation that's REALLY cool and deserves to be favourited; BUT in my favourites list I only want a specific style of artwork to be seen. Afterall, to favourite a piece of artwork is a very personal thing, it means that the arwork you have favourited has a deeper meaning to you, the individual, it means LOTS to you,.. that's why it's a Favourite. So, what I was thinking was,..... What if there was a way you could slap a nice 'Recommended', or 'Approved' etc,.. label on the piece you really like instead so it doesn't get listed in your favourites, but a 'rating' of the piece gets shown on the page of the artwork itself. The way it would work would be relatively simple,.. you see a piece of work you really like,.. you don't want it to be seen in your favourites list really, but you really DO like it, so you slap a simple 'Recommended', or 'Approved', label on it,.. the more people who do that, the more 's, (1 actual icon but with a number next to it), show up on the artworks' page, based on average number of 'recommendations', or, 'approvals'.

That could be nice actually. Either that or to have the option to organise your favourites gallery like your main personal one so effectively it's a favourite, but not immediately visible. (I borrowed this idea from another deviant btw, I don't claim it as my own just incase they see this lol)

Some levels of faves would be useful indeed: some people use them as visual bookmarks, others routinely fave everything a deviant they love can do (I even saw a request to automatically fave all the deviations of a gallery! ), others like me, and apparently you, only fave deviations they find exceptional, for a reason or another.
Now, the problem is that, like any tool, such feature would be misused, by ignorance, by laziness or carelessness, etc.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
