Hey gang,

I've been noticing for quite awhile that there have been quite a few 'misplaced' helpdesk tickets. This is not a bad thing, but misplaced tickets mean that most often, it takes longer for the proper admins to get to your ticket. This is especially true for tickets involving policy violations as they need to be forwarded to proper admin(since they don't check all of the categories).

So, I’ve drafted up these simple category explanations for you all in hopes that we can at least make it a little easier on yourselves and the admins involved, in handling your tickets.

:bulletpurple:Comment Violation Inquiry
This category is for any inquiries based on any warnings you may have received for any forum posts, deviation comments, deviant comments and journal comments. If you're unsure about the warning, then ask any of your questions here. Also, if you come across any comments on the site that you find to be in violation of any number of our policies, then please submit them here.

:bulletpurple:Deviant Ban Inquiry
This category is for use by any BANNED deviants that wish to inquire about their banning. The type of questions you would ask here are things like: "How long am I banned for?" and "Why does it suddenly show me a message stating that my account is banned?" Information in regards to bannings are only between the banned deviant and the admin. This information will not be given out to 'friends' or anyone else requesting it.


:bulletpurple:DeviantART Account
This category is mainly for problems pertaining to your account. Now, while that sounds pretty broad, the types of problems that would fall under this category that you would inquire about would be things like your settings page not updating your information, or your journals not displaying on your main page etc.

:bulletpurple:DeviantART Login
This category is a pretty simple one. This one has to do with any problems you may have logging into your account. Forgotten your password? Instructions on how to obtain it can be obtained here. Ban messages due to hostmask banning should not be reported here. Instead, you should be submitting those requests to the Deviant Ban Inquiry section.

:bulletpurple:DeviantART Subscription
This category is for all your questions about the subscription feature here at deviantART. Inquires should only relate to subscriptions, such as any problems activating your subscriptions, alternative methods of payment other then those listed and any questions regarding the features gained by purchasing a subscription.

:bulletpurple:Deviation Section Addition
This category here is for providing your suggestions on the addition of any different categories you believe to be lacking from the existing ones now. Are we missing any overall genres? Missing any sections for skins for specific programs? Let us know with this section.

:bulletpurple:Deviator Support
This category is for support on the program Deviator that was released some time ago. Unfortunately, this program is no longer working with DAv3, so there is actually no need to use this category what so ever. The program is under re-design, so keep your eyes peeled for it.

:bulletpurple:General Help
This category is almost an all purpose category for all things DA. Do you have problems submitting a deviation? Need clarification on avatars? Need help in adding things to your favourites? These are just some of the questions belonging to this category. If none of the other categories are specific in relation to your request, then chances are it belongs in here.

:bulletpurple:Help Request Follow-up
This category, simply put, is for any follow-ups you might have to previously submitted helpdesk tickets.

:bulletpurple:Policy Violation Inquiry
This category is for any inquiries you might have for any policy violation notes you might have received. These violation notes are sent out for deviations that violate any number of our policies. If you're unsure of the reason for the note, or wish to inquire about it's validity, then submit a request to this category.

:bulletpurple:Registration Help
This category is for any help you might need during the registration process of the site. Are you not getting the registration email? Having trouble selecting a username? Submit those types of questions here.

:bulletpurple:Report Harassment
This category is the section you should be reporting any harassing behaviour found on the site that you believe to be in violation of our policies. If it's a deviation in question, you should simply use the Report Deviation button instead of submitting a ticket. Always make sure to include as much evidence as possible when filing a request under this category.

:bulletpurple:Software Addition
This category is for any software addition you think we should include in our software download section on the site. New programs are created each and every day and we appreciate any suggestions.

:bulletpurple:Submission Violation Inquiry
This category is for any inquiries you might have about any submission violation notes you have received notifying you that we've removed your deviation because it was located in the wrong section on the site. If you need any suggestions on where to properly place your deviation, then feel free to submit those requests here.
