and they were talking about "Perfect Disasters."
Today's choice was a supertornado hitting Dallas....I just happen to live 20 miles from there.
Apparently, at one point in the future, there's going to be a mess of cyclone weather near, or in Texas. Water spouts, hundreds of dust devils, chaotic weather etc. and it will all contribute to basically a living hell- a SuperTornado.
Scientists predict that if such an event were to occur, this Super Tornado could rip through Dallas City like a knife in butter. It'll just tear everything- and everyone apart.
The worst tornado in history so far recorded, claimed 26 lives- scientists say this tornado will claim hundreds, if not more.
Being a complete cyclone-o-phobe, this got me scared. I live on a hill, so I'm usually safe from most tornadoes, but a super tornado, able to rip through Dallas? I just don't think it'd happen. I've seen what an F5 can do, and apparently according to the show, a super tornado would spawn like 17 F5s in a 15 mile radius or more. I immediately turned off the TV and contemplated building an underground safe house, whether the neighborhood liked it or not, and just shivered for 5 minutes.
Anyone else find this almost horrific to think about?
P.S. this is the right forum for random things to discuss right? :/

Mac: Hi, I'm playing a video game! PC: So am I! Mac: Which one? PC: Whichever I darn well please.
I personally don't watch those "scare shows." Better to live life not worrying about these things. Predicting a specific tornado and saying it will "kill hundreds" is just ridiculous.
My grandmother has been through hundreds of tornadoes where she lives in Texas. Just have a safe basement or something.
I don't have one, and none of the house plans of the buildings surrounding Dallas have basements. The say after this year's flooding, it was "too big a risk."
Risk my backside, people can escape their homes it's a tornado that they can't escape >:/

How does living on a hill help keep you safe from tornadoes? I thought it was, you were supposed to get in a ditch to be safe ... um safer.. from tornadoes.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
