Watermark software for images

Would anyone be interested in an electrionic watermark program which would allow you to hide a message (usually ur name etc) undetectably in the actual image.

My theory is that while it will not deter it will make it easer to confirm that the picture was yours in the first place.

Not sure how useful this would be as I have not had much experiance of art theft myself. Thought I'd get a feel of what would be needed before I produced the program.

There is digimark, but from first impressions, it's not cheap.

If you're thinking of producing something freeware then a lot of people would find that useful.

there are a few, but theyre mainly commercial. my version would be free to dA members.

Just to clarify:

From this thread I want to get a feel for how many ppl would want a copy of my program, and also what kind of features they would like in the program. That way I cn try and build something with thibgs everyone needs.

Sounds promising. You could make use of the news feature once it's done. Also there's the Art Scene and Programming forums should you need more specific feedback. You won't get much in this forum.

Feature wise, I'm not asking for much. Just a clean and simple interface, and also straightforward in terms of usability.
