New free website just launched where artists, galleries, instructors, etc can announce their upcoming event. Seems like a great way to announce your show or to see what good gallery events are going on this weekend. Currently it's just USA based, but hopefully soon it will expand worldwide.
There is nothing wrong with plugging a website. I've created a website I feel is a helpful tool for artists trying to promote themselves. Artists need as much exposure as possible and I feel that ArtistEvent.com is a good tool to help spread the word about artist activities. I am an artist just like everyone else here who would like more people to know about their gallery shows. I am sorry that you do not like it.
It isn't that they don't like the idea of the site, you just made the mistake of starting this thread inthe wrong place. I'm sure you'll recieve a much more positive response if you take this to the website-promotion forum.

She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
