1. I don't buy adopts. Waste of money. If you don't come up with it yourself, what's the bloody point?
2. If I find it very enticing to the eye or exceedingly witty and/or hilarious
3. If I like the majority of the works they produce, I watch.
4. Directly after I choose to watch that person, if it's their birthday, or if they're doing something harmful to one of the people I watch.

I don't buy things on DA. But I do fav things I find interesting that I'd like to keep tabs on or looks appealing/interesting to me. I watch people who I meet in groups or have a friendship with or I just like their art. I comment on people's profiles most of the time thanking them for a watch. I comment on interesting art. I don't buy adopts or commissions. When I give a favorite, watch an artist or comment on a piece, it's because I really love their work and think it's of exceptional quality. I almost never comment on profiles because I usually don't see the point. Once in a blue moon I'll do it to give a general compliment to their entire gallery, but not often.
