"I had a boyfriend who told me I'd never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I'd fail. I said to him, 'Someday, when we're not together, you won't be able to order a cup of coffee at the f***ing deli without hearing or seeing me." -Lady Gaga
“If you can’t see anything beautiful about yourself Get a better mirror, look a little closer, and stare a little longer Because there’s something inside you that made you keep trying despite everyone who told you to quit You built a cast around your broken heart and signed it yourself, you signed it, “they were wrong.” - shane koyczan's to this day project not so much a small quote but
Here are some, I can't remember who said some of them (isn't that always the way ) But Ill credit those I can remember.
"If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best" - Marilyn Monroe "Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it" - I don't know. "Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are" - Kurt Cobain. "What is mind? doesn't matter...what is matter? never mind" - Homer Simpson. "If something can go wrong, it will go wrong, at the most inappropriate time" - One of Murphy's laws. "There is no such thing as "loved" because that word is in past-tense, and if you stopped loving something or someone then that means you never really loved them in the first place" - Don't know.
I have two ^^ One is in my signature "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" ~ Dr. Seuss and the other is "The man who reads lives 1000 lives while the man who does not only lives one" -Anonymous
I see two different meanings: 1: The speaker deluded himself into the thinking the object of his affection loves him, perhaps knowing deep down that she didn't. Or 2: The speaker did something so awful he knows he can't knows he can't be loved. I guess there are a lot of interpretations, but those two stand out to me.
"We organics are driven by emotion instead of logic." Got it from a video game. Either that or "Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned." - Buddha.
These had me laughing and I quite like a lot of the quotes by the ones who say these:
-I've never dated poor, what is acceptable on a first date? -Well, I'm pretty classy, so... anal? - [awkward pause] I'm not that poor.
-[seeing the blood spatters on the walls] Oh, my God! -Oh, that's really gross! -That's the greatest thing I've ever seen! Take a picture of me over here. I finally have a reason to join Instagram! People are gonna be like, "Food, food, cat, food, nails, nails, murder?!"
-You're gonna tell her you love her?! Here in the diner?! [...], this isn't where you tell someone "I love you," this is where you tell someone their sex change looks passable.
-Are you sure you're fine? 'Cause I heard you crying last night. -I don't cry. I sold my tear ducts to an organ bank for cash two years ago. -I was on the couch. And I heard you crying alone in your bedroom. -Really? What did the crying sound like? -Like... [makes moaning noises] -I wasn't crying. -Well, then what were you d— [other girl widens her eyes in irony] Oh! So none of my business.
