Problem with Images not Deleting

I use to have portraits of people posted in a folder called, "Photography," and in my featured folder. The pictures were part of a photography assignment. I later removed them, because I thought it might be rude to have them up without their consult. So I deleted the Photography folder, and deleted each portrait in the featured folder manually.

Now, it appears that they still exist. While viewing anyone of my art, the portrait sometimes appear where it says, "More from ~leduc-gallery." How can they be up there if they are deleted?
