Why can't I have an Adobe Illustrator file under the category "Vector Resources"?

I just submitted a bunch of vector clouds in an Illustrator file, but DeviantArt wouldn't let me categorize it under "Vector Resources." It said that "those types of files aren't allowed under this category." Why? And how would I change the file type to make it available for someone to grab the clouds in vectore form and use them?

FAQ #39: I just tried to submit a file to X Category, but it told me the filetype I am trying to upload is not allowed. What can I do?

Perhaps if you uploaded them in a compressed file (rar, zip, etc.), it'd work.

Please refer to this thread if you need help.
