Have you ever felt like it would have been better if you were born in another country or want to move to some other country?

idk, i always thought america was just a bit boring. I mean we've only been around officially for about 300 years, where as countries in Eurasia have been around for thousands of years and have so much history and culture and stuff. I love ancient world history. I guess Australia would be awesome because it's so beautiful there XD

I've always thought I should've been born in England. I really would like to move there, especially since the USA is following a bit too close to Rome for comfort, but I doubt I'll ever be able to.

Well everywhere is going to have its own problems. I think it's natural to long for what you don't have, including a different place to live and especially if you don't like what you do have.

I'm a bit of a anglophile so I've wanted to move to England for greater parts of my life.
Though I know that it wouldn't work so unless I somehow get really rich, I'll stay in Sweden. It's a good country to live in, after all.

I like America, I just don't like the people in charge. Put in a few good men who want the prosperity instead of the paycheck and we're golden.

I don't believe I was born in the wrong country, but I do feel now would be a good time to jump ship. England is all kinds of screwed up. There's a mentality right now that the harder you work, the less you have. Jobs that graduates would usually go into are taken by experienced professionals, meaning most graduates are then working retail, call centre, or waiting jobs, so the group who would have usually filled those roles are then finding themselves unable to do anything, and the tiers that are in work are paying to keep those out of work afloat, but so much so that those out of work commonly have a better quality of life than those in the menial dead end jobs.

I realize that this is a global issue, but there's nothing left of Britain to be proud of or get patriotic about. I can only see us sinking ever deeper into our previous generation's mess that we simply cannot seem to clean up while other countries appear to be making progress.

That is bad. Most countries are in pretty deep shit too. So where would you go if you jump ship?
