By posting in the forum, we know it is not an issue affecting any particular user, but a site-wide issue.. Not all of us affected have to report the same issue a gazillion times to the same help desk.. Maybe some of us feel the need for human interaction once in a while! If this is criminal, sue me!!
If I was being an asshole, I would've called her a tard muffin too. Other than that, I'm just being blunt.
I still stand by what I said, if this would've happened to me, I would've waited a day, to see if the situation was resolved, and then found the help desk, instead of immediately running into the nearest forum because it absolutely couldn't wait. Does running into the forum like that resolve the issue any faster?
And all that aside, that still doesn't change the fact that the forum isn't the help desk. Which is in fact, an actual fact, and whether or not I'm an asshole about it, that fact still doesn't change.
It's been a very long since I jumped in the forums as well... in fact there was no help desk back then, so I completely understand your problem... I mean this forum is labeled "The official deviantART message forum for general based discussion" and your question falls square in that category, right?
