Morality Dilemma

Based on a true story, though some things may be faulty.

A wife returns home from the grocery store. Her two daughters (ages 4 and 5) run up to their mother urging her to go to their older sibling who is 10. The wife's older daughter claims she was molested/raped by her mother's husband. *Note: The wife's older daughter is a messed up child. An example being she kills animals without guilt and has a potential to something bad happening to the two younger siblings. The children's father loves their children and does anything to make them happy.* The wife's mother calls the police in which they take the older sibling's words over the father without investigation. The two younger siblings are sent to foster homes as the wife fights for them back. Would you take the word of the older sibling's words over the husband's? Was it right or wrong for the policemen to avoid investigation?

there would have to be an investigation first. It shouldn't be that hard to find out the truth, but really no investigation?! come on!

Of course there should have been an investigation. You can't just take someone's word for what happened, the very idea of doing that would be ridiculous even if the older sister had been positively saintly up till the incident, that doesn't mean she would never lie or anything.

Killing animals is an indication of psychopathic and sadistic tendencies. If the police did not investigate and collect evidence, then they need to go back to the academy.

Is this really happening and are you the "10 year old?" Many a grown (step-father) mans life has been fucked over by ill children, crying "WOLF!" We tend to believe you. But We have to be sure..
