Twice in the last few years I've changed my looks dramatically and both times I was very surprised at how differently folks in general treated me.
I'm a 6'4 in my mid 20's. A few years ago, I chopped off a very long pony tail and people started trying to push me around, intimidate or take advantage of me more. I noticed it literally right away.
In the last couple months I've lost a lot of weight and suddenly strangers are a lot nicer to me and I've been given a LOT of free stuff and discounts at stores.
They're both kind of obvious but also surprising to actually see in action. What are some of your stories? What do people assume about you based on how you look?
I honestly don't know how you can tell whether the way someone is treating you is based off of your looks or not. But my friends like to tease me about my shortness, and a ton of people comment on how I'm short and my boyfriend is tall.
