I like giving llamas to people who have done a good job or who have a really nice gallery. I feel like it is one way of showing appreciation to someone
Yeah, I see where you're getting at, but I like llamas because they are simple transactions & some users here (like me) believe it's a good addition to complimenting someone's art and/or art gallery. I see it as a pleasant bonus or token. Llamas really don't dominate deviantart. Many people choose to ignore them or to not partake in the transactions, so they can be fine doing that while everyone else can trade llamas, which I certainly believe is not harming anyone.
To be honest, I don't give them away and I don't care if I receive one. The first day, on April fools, it was good fun, because I thought It would be for one day only. But it's quite pointless, definitely on a website like this.
Like what is the point? Why llamas?
