hmm... this got me thinking... my last best friend died 3 years ago... haven't had one since then... i already forgot what is it like to have a best friend... and i mean, sure, i have lots of friends... but that kind of friend, well... i no longer know.

I don't fully grasp the idea of a "best friend" yet. A person or two might consider me to be their best friend, but the term just kinda confuses me.

The only friend I have now is my girlfriend. I think about her all the time. And I'm really happy with that.

My best friend is in Iraq right now.

Before he went we used to talk on the phone almost every night about all kinds of stuff. And I mean, all kinds of stuff. Like what we did in high school, our most embarrassing moment, stuff we'd really want to do some day, and such. We also talked a lot about our hobbies (we're both re-enactors) so that took up a ton of time. We'd plan ahead for the next event, exchange info on making reproductions, told each other what neat stuff we've been finding lately, etc.

Ah, well, and now we don't get to talk hardly at all. We've talked about 3 times on the phone since he left.
